Those of you who knows me know that I am a closet Political observer and adviser. I am trying to stay away from talking about it (as much as I can) for the next 20 years until my private sector life is done....:P but here is a little editorial:
Though I believe PRC has a responsibility in preserving the culture heritage of Tibet. It is still a part of PRC. I think the recent violence is yes, a indirect protest of the Tibetans on having their culture escaping, but hey, that is part of social darwinism. Live with it. If the violence escalates, then I would view it a a terriorist act by the Tibatans and I hope the international community would see it that way too.
I was very fortunate in my life to have seen both Pope John Paul II and Dalai Lama in person during my college days. They are both amazing individuals and I respect that. and it is in my believe, and I would stand by this, that both of these extra ordinary man are none secular, and their work and calling in life is above the political relm. unfortuately, the Tibet situation is forcing the Great Dalai Lama to take a position. such a shame.
Also I find it funny that the supposedly liberal Hollywood crowd (i.e. Richard Gere and others) should have such a strong opinion about this. Maybe they should live in Tibet and be one with the none-secular, 19th century culture for a few years before speaking out on what is the proper course of action for the people.
Lastly, what is up with the Korean national pride!?! I find it so laughable. (do a google search on the Chan Ho Park, who sucks btw, story in China) LOL such a small nation, and such a Napolean complex. Maybe if the Korean nationals acts properly when they do business around Asia, they would earn the proper respect :P
