AFter watching the bestest show on TV this summer, Rock Star Supernova for the past month and 1/2. Clearly, three rockers stand above the rest. They would all make great front man/woman for Supernova, if not, they ought to get record deals on their own.
Here are the ones who impressed me:
1. Dilana - She has been solid thruout. the best singer, performer of the group. she can do every type of rock with easy. from dark stuffs to the likes of Radio Head, Depeche Mode, the the Classics like Hendrix, Door, to U2, Nervana etc. etc. she could do it all. I hope her recent comment didn't hurt her.
2. Magni - My number two. He is a great singer. capable of performing every song. Great stage presence. what seperates him (slightly) from Dilana is that he lacks a little (just a little) bit of fire that American type rock band needs....maybe its because he's icelandic. He would make a great front man in any band.
3. Toby - The Aussie grew on me over the weeks. He has great energy. Great voice. but he's more like a pop star than a rock star....his style fits more with the image concious bands of today...
Well, those are my top threes. they would all be great.
What I would like to see them perform next week:
1. Dilana - "only happy when it rains" by the Garbage or "Malibu" by the Holes.
2. Magni - "With or Without you" by U2 ( this would be a hard one), or the Zypher song by Red hot chilli peppers, or again by lenny kravitz
3. Toby - more billie idol please. bunny or echoman would do "Sugar kisses", "The killing moon" .
i can't decide who to vote for...

Changes
A few things I learned in the past week.
1. Life is a amazing journey that
no one should take it for granted. Do what you want to do
for yourself, good decisions or not, ACT, and don't stand idol,
don't let any min. flee by....along the way, also cherish the ones that you love
and loves you.
2. Your friends. There are the ones that you keep for life. and there are period
pieces. The ones you keep for like, you should know by now. and the period
pieces, they come and go. When it is time for them to go, let it.

Great Sunday BBQ
I had a Great Sunday.
Since I got them monkeys off my back, I am a lot calmer and at ease with myself. It is a good feeling.
Sunday, I hosted a BBQ and invited close friends to come by. I had fun. Though I only served BBQ Beef ribs and Heiniken light beer, you know, the real man food, I thought the BBQ was an overall smash (sorry Spiderwoman, I didn’t know that you don’t eat beef. So guys, next time when I have one, tell me what you want and I’ll prepare it specifically).
That morning. Masterlee also came down from da hood to train. We did our usual mile swim (under 32 min.); 25 mile bike ride, but had to cut short our run because of the time crunch to my BBQ.
By measuring myself against the Master. I know I’ve definitely improved on my swim, but again, the Good Master has been very sick lately, so I don’t know how valid is my time improvement really. And to be honest, I was quite impressed by his swim time in spite of his lingering cold. Scary. But there are still few weeks to go to make some last min improvements. My goal is still to be at par with the Master coming out of the water; If I can see him out of water, I have a shot. I’ve been focusing on my run this year too (no more Estella Warren distraction).
We shall see…
Okay, who is taking bets this year….
Will this finally be Sonic’s year to shine? Or will the Master overcome his ailment and retain his title?
Find out on 9/10 and 9/17 at the LA and Malibu Triathlon!

Se La Vi
Life is funny sometimes.
When you think things couldn't go any worse. Almost certainly it will.
The process of feeling the free fall down is perhaps the hardest to accept.
But on a bright side, these months long feeling of free falling has finally ended. Yesterday was the rock bottom, so starting today. its nothing but upswing!!
It is time for a new chapter. I think the monkey is finally off my back.

Hollywood Bowl Part 4

Spend Saturday at Hollywood Bowl with the Real Estate SUPERSTAR, The She-Eye Doc. it was fun. Though I was not a Celtic Music Fan, I did enjoy the very Tutonic introduction by Mendelssohn. it is almost Wagneric, which is full of Dramatic and unrelenting melodies (yes, I AM VERY CULTURED! IN CASE YOU DON'T KNOW THAT BY NOW). Anywho. Though I could be snubbish about my Music taste, I did also enjoy the fiddler performance. a) The performer was pretty cute and b) the music is actually good too....
Anywho. for those of you who's coming to my PokerQ Sunday. Remember to bring cash to donate to Feed the Sonic Foundation.

Need a Vacation
Today, I suddenly got the urge of doing one of those sojourning trips like I use to do when I was younger. So I've decided to take the first three days of the Thanksgiving Week off and just do a Sojourning trip off to somewhere:
Tentative destinations:
1) Taiwan - Go home to visit my family and maybe hanging out with The master, Da Bull Family and the twins at hotspring somewhere.
2) Nice, FR - visit my aunt and just chill at their pad.
3) Namibia - Skeleton Desert. I really want to do this, need to figure out how to get there tho...

RockStar Supernova
Another Great show! (Man, I am watching lots of TV lately aren't I).
This is definitely better than American Idol. and I think in general, the singing quality is better too.
Watch out for Strom "Susan" Large. she is hot! and could sing too!
