Took a long night drive thru Ortega highway tonight just because I felt like it. next thing I know, I was in Temucula. The road was winding and narrow, it may be dagerous to drive on it, but somehow, it felt good. The stars in the sky, was lighting my way tonight. And I never felt so alive before....
It was a good day. and I am all rejuvinated.

Training Days...

My Coworker "Steady" Steph finally got her Felt bike. Its a nice looking bike! Looks like she is really going to put the hammer down this year. And I think she'll do well, afterall, she is a Marathoner.
It seems like our lives revolve around working and training only. but unfortunately, she's got a commute from Mahattan Beach....I really wonder how she did it....
good thing there are lots of advantage for owning a Prius. :P

Catching up on movies

Other than excercising, walking the dogs, watching World Cup (Portugal rules, England sucks btw.), tri training, I basically vegged out at home catching up on my movies:
- Syriana - My coworker has been telling me about this movie. Very interesting indeed. I think by watching this movie, I gained a intersting perspective on why the US is involved in the middle east. Cloony gave a great performance.
- Lord of War - Very sarcastic. Cage fits the role perfectly. Come to think of it, I love all Nicols's films.
- American History X - Edward Norton is scary good in this movie. Very insightful. but definitely not a feel good movie. Especially the scene with the black guy on the curb...
- The Notebook - How did this get in here??? lets just say I am trying to be in touch of my feminine side with this movie. I am also a big fan of Rachael McAdams. I think I have most of her movies: Mean Girls, Wedding Crasher, the Notebook. Next I will buy Red Eye.

Summer Solstice - A Day in the life of Sonic
Do you know today is Summer Solstice. The longest day of the year?
Well, to honor the honor this longest day of the year, here is a quick glimpsy of a day in the life of Sonic.
Well, to honor the honor this longest day of the year, here is a quick glimpsy of a day in the life of Sonic.
- 6:00AM (Bed) - Cell phone alarm sounded. Tried to hit the snooze botton but decided not to. Dragged myself out of bed and changed to my Swimming gear so not wanted to...
- 6:15AM (Woodbridge Swimming Club) - Arrived at the swimming center, found my favorite cat Phoebe waiting for me at the usual spot, I never found out who's cat it is, but the name tag says Phoebe, and she is quite attached to me (I'll try to remember to take some pics next time).
- 6:55AM (Woodbridge Swimming Club) - After 33 min and one mile in the water, I am feeling a bit tired. But good tired. I actually swam faster than the man who has been beating me the last few times.
- 7:30AM (Home) - Washed off all the chlorine and changed to work cloth. I needed a haircut. But I remember someone once told me that I actually look better with some hair. But my hair is getting way too long...
- 8:00AM (Work) - Arrived at work with a Starbucks Latte, one Cranberry Bagel, two Apple turnovers, and one Banana on Roid. Healthy breakfast yeah? Decided that there's too much sugar. Offered one Turnover to Ann.
- 9:00AM (Work) - Finished checking and respond to emails from previous night. Looks like it is going to be a busy day...
- 10:30AM (Work) - Finished preping for some of the backup data for Q4 planning....now all I need to do is put them in pretty slides. I think I am getting quite good at PPs.
- 11:00AM (My cube) - Found errors in dataset. need to redo all the work...sucks.
- 12:00PM (My Cube) - Client call to discuss Q3 Strategy cancelled....yeah. I can actually go to lunch (making a quiznos run for all my close co-workers).
- 1:00PM (Next Building) - Q3 Marketing meeting (are marketing people really neccessary? these people are so clueless...)
- 2:00PM (Upstairs, Conf. room) - Ops Production meeting (Here is where the juice is at). Looks like we've resovled some outstanding issues.
- 3:00PM (Back at my cube) - Finally back at my desk....I should start those presentations shouldn't I. but found out there are a few other projects going on at the same time...interesting thing is that the VP hinted to me and Steph that we might be managing someone to help us out if the workloads gets heavier....he wants us to think about it. Me? Managing people? Are you serious?
- 6:00PM (My Cube) - Still working on slides and some others projects for various people. I think I am done for the day, will work on the rest later tonight after my ride.
- 6:20PM (Home) - Changed into my cycling battle gear. Today, I ride for 25 miles...
- 7:40PM (Home) - After riding thru Culver, Newport Center Drive, PCH thru Crystal Cove, Irvine Back bay...I am home. It was a great ride. No hip problem.
- 8:20PM (Coffee Bean) - Ordered my usual Chai hot tea and finished dinner from the pizza place next door. Their service is super slow today....must be my Del Piero Jersey. I remember the owner is a huge USA soccer fan...
- now (Coffee bean) - finishing some touches to my work...I am going to stay here till 10:00PM or so then head home for a good night sleep....6:00AM wakeup call again tomorrow. Its a good day!

Tales of two songs
Had another weird dream last night. Seems like I've been having lots of similar dreams lately...
Two songs describe exactly how I feel about certain aspects of my personal life now. Very contrasting point of views, confounding me they are:
These songs are:
1) Lenny Kravitz - "It Ain't Over Till it's Over"
2) U2 - Walk on (All that you can't leave behind).
I am tired. going to sleep right now. Long training day and work day tomorrow. Even with a bad hip and all. I am moving on!

Sports Injury
I've been feeling some sharp pain on my hips when I run lately. It is really bugging me and slowing me down quite a bit. And this morning, the pain got to the point of unbearable that I had to stop from my Vegeta training...I hope it is not too serious.
Things are quite crazy in my life lately with work. But it is good busy. Hard work and Tri training are keeping me focused and grounded and keeping things simple. I am happy for it.

Here is Gone
It's midnight here at Kansas City. Even after a long day of meetings and event with clients, somehow, I still can't fall asleep. So here I am, sitting in the lobby of the hotel staring out the windows of the KC skyway by myself and this song comes out of the loud speaker in the hotel lobby. Somehow, it is so fitting... and I was just thinking about what this song meant to me the other day. truely strange...
The song is called "Here is Gone" by Goo Goo Dolls
You and I got something
But it's all and then it's nothing for me, yeah
And I got my defenses
When it comes to your intentions for me, yeah
And we wake up in the break down
With the things we never thought could be, yeah
I'm not the one who broke you
I'm not the one you should fear
We got to move you darling
I thought I lost you somewhere
But you were never really ever there at all
And I want to get free
Talk to me
I can feel you falling
And I wanted to be
All you need
Somehow here is gone
I am no solution
To the sound of this pollution in me, yeah
And I was not the answer
So forget you ever thought it was me, yeah
I'm not the one who broke you
I'm not the one you should fear
We got to move you darlin
I thought I lost you somewhere
But you were never really ever there at all
And I want to get free
Talk to me
I can feel you falling
And I wanted to be All you need
Somehow here is gone
And I dont need the fallout
Of all the past that's in between us
And I'm not holding on
And all your lies weren't enough to keep me here
And I want to get free
Talk to me
I can feel you falling
And I wanted to be
All you need
Somehow here is gone
And I want to get free
Talk to me
I can feel you falling
I know it's out there
I know it's out there
And I can feel you falling
I know it's out there
I know it's out there

Italy 2 - Ghana 0

Italy responded to the corruption scandal back home with some of the most exciting soccer of this World Cup.
Andrea Pirlo converted a set play to perfection for the Azzurri's first goal in the 40th minute, and Vincenzo Iaquinta finished off a 2-0 win over Ghana in the 83rd. But Totti who reinjured his foot will be questionable against the US on Sat.
South Park and Alice in Wonderland
Am in Denver and Kansas City all week till Thur. KC sucks! but the BBQ ribs are delicious. Not sure about how Denver would be. Its Southpark isn't it?
World Cup
Let the Games Begin!!! I've waited four years for this. Spent the entire weekend watching matches with Dad. We would wake up at 6:00 in the morning and watch it until 2:00 in the afternoon. I don't think I left the house at all.
But its all worth it!!!
But its all worth it!!!

Still Couldn't sleep, so here I wrote
Silly stuff. but it is how I feel.
When your back crumbles
When your hearts fall
Remember,
One more breath, one more stroke
It will take you closer on shore
When your thighs burn,
And vision blur
Still remember,
One more peddle, one more push
Will get you that natural high down the road
When your knees buckle
With Ankles sore
Keep at it,
One more stride,
One more breath,
one more bounce off the concrete wall
You shall be at the finish where your heart will roar
And thru it all, it is the pain of the road
That brings the salvation of my soul.
Without any thoughts, without any worries,
It is just me and the winding road.
A lonely road, a sojourning road.
But a road all and only of my own.
When your back crumbles
When your hearts fall
Remember,
One more breath, one more stroke
It will take you closer on shore
When your thighs burn,
And vision blur
Still remember,
One more peddle, one more push

Nightmare...
Just woke up from a terrible nightmare...(yes, I sleep early during the weekdays now). I shall not go into the details of the nightmare, but I can't go to sleep anymore.
Wonder what there is to do now...

A day at the Library...
Training like Vegeta

This one is for you cartoon geeks. I am training like Vegeta now.
First time trial last week: (2 parts of the three diciplines, not back to back so the time is a bit misleading):
1) 1 mile swim (32 laps in a olympic size pool) --32::20
2) 6 mile (10k) run --46:46
3) 25 mile bike (not measured yet)
lets measure my progress! pain is nothing =)
Let the competition begins...

As far as I could Masterlee and I are always involved in competition against one another. From our Tennis/Cross Country days, to the past several Triathlons. We’ve always competed (and he has always had a one-up on me). But watchout Masterlee. This year’s LA triathlon could be the year! I am sensing it and I am doing the best within my ability to train. I know you are doing you Goku training in Alaska now. Can’t wait till you get back and we’ll see where we are. 13 weeks to go.

ESTELLA

Here is my idol Estella Warren’s official time from last year’s Olympic Distance LA Triathlon.
1 mile ocean swim ->
29 min. 33 sec. (that is really fast It pays to be a former Olympic synchronize swimmer)
26 mile bike thru Los Angeles ->
1 hour and 35 min (15 mph pace, this is a bit slow, but I think she didn’t have the right bike)
10K run thru downtown LA ->
56 min and 25 sec (pretty slow but I guess its because she was busy talking to me)
See ya in this years LA Tri. I hope your time improves too =)

Trainin Day Blue...
Feeling a bit under the weather. Hope I am not catching a cold from this morning's swim.
Somebody bring me a hot noodle soup...

Training Day Blue...

Congratulations Christina on the official announcement of your wedding day.
I’ve known Chris for over 14 years. We basically grew up in the same block back in HH. She is forever MasterLee, Da Bull and my little sister.
I’ve always enjoy her positive and bubbly personality (see the above sunny smile), inquisitive mind and humble and easy going outlook towards life.
Love ya!
My Tequillo

Finally, I got my preciousTequillo. The tune up cost me $70 (it is freaking more expensive than an oil change for a car man!).
I was so excited that I rode my baby out from the shop—literally and took it for a 1 and 1/2 hour spin thru the hills of Newport Coast, thru, Cyrstal Cove and back up the Newport Back Bay.
BIG Shout-out to future team member/crew Al#2 (not to be confused with Masterlee’s Big Al). For dropping me off at the bike shop and waited for me at Home, Thanks!
One more boy and one more girl and we got a Team Gateway!
